I go with morning coffee

Cool.

I'm like a tasty omelette, a delicious danish with extra jam and butter, a crispy slice of bacon (No. That goes with the omelette not coffee. Hmm), a proper stack of pancakes drenched in syrup, or that first cigarette of the morning, all perfect in the moment but unhealthy enough to give you cancer.

I know. Too much.

Thank you to Kristin at Dietfoodie, who I believe actually created this award, after receiving the Kreativ Blogger Award (How Kreativ, Kristin), all by her lonesome. Yup. It has now dawned on me that I'm totally in a league of my own - too great for traditional glory and need actual coffee/ wine related awards created for my special brand of awesome. Yes, in a league of my own (with VEG). Totally.

And, before passing on this award, and in the spirit of creativity (Thought I couldn't do it. Well, ha! I'll show you.) I would like to add a rule (can't leave well enough alone), and ask you to show us what your favorite place to have your morning coffee (naturally while you're reading the blogs that go with your morning coffee) is like. All creative deelios welcome, but I think I'll just do a photo, since I finally figured out how to exactly insert them (without too much brain ache and suffering) and to show you that today I have actually gotten my 10 minutes of vitamin D.

I wonder where B and Cyndy like to have their coffee.

Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone! I'm having an awesome day, at least until my afternoon gynecologist appointment.

I feel validated on my coffee addiction! It's like this award was made for me (in fact, I'm going to pretend it was), since my coffee morning is definitely the most important moment of my day! Will post photo tomorrow!

will the gyno (or is it gyne) come to you or do you have to leave the house?

ew, i'm not sure i like the idea of a gynecologist that makes house calls...

WV word: boars

i swear they're using too many real words these days...

Extranjera said...

B - Pretend away! I also love coffee almost as much as I love wine...

julochka - No house calls (thanks for creeping me out though, am already in a state - have to drive, and the other ew ;o)

I think Blogger gods are just getting back at you for making something they hadn't thought of. Yup, i think it's personal... and I'm in for a virtual hailstorm.

OOoh will there be an exciting announcement soon maybe?

With all that coffee consumption, perhaps we should call you...
wait for it...wait for it...

extranrjea!

The dopamin receptors in your brain would like to extend to you a thank you for the good choice of coffee in the morning.

(This message has been paid by the global coffee conspiracy (tm))

if there's an exciting announcement it means you'll have to cut back on the coffee and give up the wine. and i just don't really see that happening...

Brilliant addition to the award! If you create it, they will add the rules. (Somehow that isn't quite as catchy as the original.)

Congratulations on your fancy shmancy award! I could post pictures of my work space where I read my blogs...but it's sooo messy! I do have a rather interesting paper mache bird on my desk, that despite being pretty beat up looking, I can't deem to get rid of for sentimental reasons.

So, is the gyno going to be wearing a sombrero and drinking margaritas during your exam with the accompaniment of a mariachi band? Because THAT would be funny.

Extranjera said...

SD - Nope. Unless you count pap-smear negative as good news. And frankly, I think I'm the only one who'll delight in those news. So no need to cut back on wine or coffee. Am safe

Muse - Huh?

Suecae Sounds - A coffee shop follows me on Twitter, because I tweet about coffee all the time. "No" commercial conspiracy...

julochka - see above. Only pap smear...

Kristin - Thanks and sorry for not asking first, but you guys are half a day behind, and my attention span just couldn't take that.

Marathoner - I think we all want to see the paper mache bird now!

Gidget - Sadly, no sombrero. Feel disappointed, and will later drown my sorrow in tequila.

Lucky for you I keep my camera with me at all times. I'll have a photo up soon.

Oh my, I am blushing that I got the same award as extranjera and she even thinks I am in her league of awesomeness. I bow with humbleness as Extranjera's blog is, at least in my opinion, something I aspire to. So thanks, Extranjera (at least I hope she wasn't being sarcastic ;~) I will post my pic as soon as I get home tonight. Though it is not nearly as comfortable looking as yours.

Extranjera said...

Marathoner - I see your post, off to gawk now.

Muse - Nope, still not getting it.

VAG - Sarcastic? Me? Never.
Just joking, I love your blog. If you sucked i would not have linked to you, or compulsively comment on everything you write...

Extranjera said...

VEG - I just fokken called you VAG - my brain is still at the gynos. Life's good!!!

Sarah said...

I was totally thinking the same thing, I just hadn't got to typing it yet! We are so on the same wavelength these days! I wish I was going to blog camp so that we could do it in "real" time!

Extranjera said...

VEG and certainly NOT VAG - I know. Bit eerie... I just might be there for blog camp in northern America at some point (Hubby feels guilty 'cos I'm not able to have a career, [SCORE!] and is willing to send me to where ever I wanna go). As i said, coffee (read: drinks) on me!

Extranjera said...

Muse - ENERGY. I fokken get it!!!! Feel so flippen stupid now.

Extranjera said...

Erin - I know... What I aspire to, just not quite getting there, but at least am aware of my own shortcomings.

Awesome, isn't it?

Way way cool. I'm new to your blog, but i totally understand why you got it. The first thing i do when i get on shift is wait for acess to a computer so i can check my blogs. Because of where i am, its hard to get a computer. but i look forward to reading yours.

So you have an avid reader and follower from Balad Joint Air Base, Iraq.

Extranjera said...

Mrs. Rotty - Thanks so much and welcome. Glad to brighten up your day, although I do believe you perhaps already have enough of sunshine...

Liz Fulcher, The Fragrant Muse said...

Atta girl...I knew that with enough caffeine you'd get it!

Extranjera said...

Muse - Thanks, although it was mainly tequila that did the thinking.

Cyndy said...

Thank you so much for the CMA! I am honored, humbled. I finally got around to responding on my blog (had to clean a spot to take a picture!). Do love your morning spot, though where did you hide the bottle of wine?
